Sketchbook
Just about every painting I produce is preceded by a number of sketches in which I'm fleshing out the idea or working out various poses, while also focusing on anatomical accuracy. The level of refinement of these drawings will vary depending on whether I’m just working out the composition for an upcoming painting or if I feel that an animal subject needs to be more highly defined, to guide me through the painting process. On occasion, some of these more finished drawings have been produced to illustrate particular scenes in a text for books, which a given author will have hired me to create.
